If you are looking for a good basic checking account this account is right for you. The minimum balance to open this account is $100.00. As long as the balance in the account does not fall below $299.00 at any time during a statement cycle, then you will not be charged a $4.00 monthly maintenance fee. If the account does fall below the $299.00 balance during the statement cycle a debit fee of $.20 will also be charged for each debit transaction (withdrawal, check paid, automatic transfer or payment out of this account) in excess of 20 during a statement cycle. The monthly maintenance fees and debit fees will not apply to senior citizens age 55 or over and some nonprofit charitable groups.
